Tourism sustainable competitiveness indicator for ASEAN bloc: A random forest approach

This study aims to reveal the tourism performance among ASEAN countries by creating a sustainable competitiveness indicator (TSCI). introduces an ensemble random forest approach in developing integrative framework that incorporates tourism, sustainability and competitiveness. It demonstrates management of multi-faceted development with constructed indicator. Six main enablers have been identified for TSCI indicator, including policy regulatory environment, environmental sustainability, socio-cultural economic infrastructure, intellectual capital innovation. As benchmarking tool policymakers, organisations, tourism-related authorities implementation policies business or marketing strategic planning, factors affect tourism. enhances value chains Association Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) bloc, as well it offers significant assistance Tourism Strategic Plan 2025.
